Our Fragrance Heritage: THE CRYSTAL SMILE, by Georges Delhomme. 

In 1949 Lancôme’s founder Armand Petitjean asked his artistic director George Delhomme to create a bottle to symbolize the happy aura of women. His creation captured the quintessence of happiness and the grace of a smile in crystal.

A Modern Interpretation:

It took over a year to achieve the impossible, creating the rounded imprint of a smile at the heart of a crystal square. A year to perfect its delicately curved and feminine form, to cut its facetted angles and bring it to life. The finishing touch of refinement: Enhanced with its delicate satin scarf, its organza wings refer to a reinterpretation of our heritage.
