Ô My Rose !
All the neo-sixties freshness of the new Lancôme
make-up collection
Photo shoot with Aaron de Mey, one of the most gifted art directors of his generation, and the natural beauty of Elettra Wiedemann. A rare and inspired moment.
A sunbeam shines across the artist’s workshop and falls upon Elettra Wiedemann’s perfect face. Willing, motionless, the muse offers her lips to the caressing pencil of Aaron de Mey, International Makeup Artistic Director and inspired creator of Ô my Rose! - Lancôme’s Spring 2010 colour collection.
The atmosphere is charged with positive energy. A very focused Aaron de Mey carefully prepares the model's face: she gracefully accepts his rules. Under the artist's precise gestures, her natural beauty gradually transforms.
Under the spotlights, the brushes and compacts glitter with a thousand lights. In their cases, gloss pencils, varnishes and lipsticks form a precious palette, which Aaron de Mey uses like a painter before his canvas. His work is now done, and Elettra Wiedemann’s radiant smile makes it come alive.
Now is the time to capture the encounter between the light, the star and her make-up. Time stands still. Ruven Afanador, a South American photographer known for his sensual portraits of women, waits for an expression, a glance, a particular highlight on her perfectly designed lips.
By instinct, the photographer seizes the spirit of a modern, gentle and sensual woman and reveals her luminous grace, exalted by Aaron de Mey’s soft and sophisticated make-up look, which strongly features vibrant coral tones. The shot will travel around the world.
