Caroline de Maigret’s L'Absolu Rouge Twist
“When winter comes, the light changes. The sky becomes grayer and with it my complexion gets more translucent and loses its summer color. So, I adapt my makeup habits. Gone are orange, tan and brown tones that clash with my white skin, which, no joke, veers towards the gray-green in color!
I get out all my blacks and reds for my everyday makeup looks. And, as per usual I wear lots of Mascara Hypnôse in #01 Noir, across both the upper and lower lashes. Then, I add a little transparent foundation base to ward off the aggressiveness of the cold that can leave lines on my face. As for my cheeks, I stow away my bronzing powders and reach for my L’Absolu Rouge lip color which I smudge onto my upper cheeks using my fingers. It’s not as heavy as a powder and its creamy texture is softer and easier to work into the skin for a beautifully natural result. Plus the satin-like look doesn’t age the skin as much as a powder and with a brightening look about it, it helps to make the face look refreshed rather than just tired, which is a huge boost.” Caroline de Maigret.
